Fact sheets which review the disorders screened for by expanded newborn screening have been developed for families and professionals. The fact sheets for families were created by the STAR-G Project. The fact sheets for health care professionals were created by the American College of Medical Genetics and the American Academy of Pediatrics. These fact sheets, called ACT sheets, describe the short term actions a health professional may follow when caring for an infant who receives a positive newborn screening result.
